Announcing the 2021 Stubing Memorial Lecture

Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, ethical issues have been critical and very real, with bioethics discussed daily in the national news and around dinner tables. In this extraordinary year, Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and Dr. Christine Grady, Chief of the Department of Bioethics at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center, will join us for the 2021 William C. Stubing Memorial Lecture. The pair will engage in a moderated conversation guided by Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN’s Chief Medical Correspondent. The Lecture, Confronting the Public Health and Ethical Challenges of COVID-19, will be held as a live webinar on November 1, at 6:30 pm ET.

About the William C. Stubing Memorial Lecture 

William C. Stubing served as President of The Greenwall Foundation for 21 years. In 2016, the Foundation established the William C. Stubing Memorial Lecture in honor of its beloved former President, who guided the Foundation to its current focus on bioethics. Previous Lectures have covered timely topics in bioethics: the social inequities revealed by COVID-19, physician aid-in-dying, drug pricing, and genome editing.
